Privacy Policy for Aksan

Aksan collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics. Nothing you do in the app is sent anywhere, because the app has no server to send it to and makes no network connections of any kind.

What information do we collect?

None. We collect no personal information of any kind.
There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising identifier, and no analytics or crash-reporting service in the app.
We do not track you, and we do not share data with any third party, because we hold no data to share.

The app does not go online at all

The alphabet, the phrases and every pronunciation recording are bundled inside the app when you install it. Nothing is fetched while you use it.
Aksan works with no connection at all, in airplane mode, and the watch app runs on a watch that is not paired to a phone.
There is no advertising, and no third-party SDK of any kind.

What is stored on your device

Your settings — which language you are learning, which language you read it in, and how often the widget changes — and your review history are kept only on your own device.
They live in a shared container on the device so that the app, the watch app and their widgets can all read the same thing. That container never leaves the device it is on, and the phone and the watch each keep their own.
We have no access to any of it, and it is never uploaded.
Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Permissions we do not ask for

Aksan does not use the camera, the microphone, your location, your contacts, your photos, or your health data, and never asks for them.
It sends no notifications.

Children

Aksan is rated 4+ and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will update this page and note the date below.
